In the Fall of 2010, Jonathan will be attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, which is located in Long Beach, CA. While attending college, one of Jonathan’s plans is to earn money for school so that he can teach others how to fly. Shopping on Antigua
Shopping on Antigua
Handy guide to basic shopping on Antigua if you are staying on the island for more than a few days. May be a bit outdated since it was written based on experience around 1999/2000.
Btw, there is an Epicurean supermarket in Jolly Harbour. It at least just as expensive as the one at Wood Centre, but much more convenient for those staying at or close to Jolly.

2 travel items you didn't know you needed! - FlyerTalk Forums:
"1) Ex-Officio Give-n-Go boxer briefs - their motto is '17 countries. 6 weeks. 1 pair of underwear. Okay, maybe 2.' I put some liquid Tide in a bottle and 2 pairs of boxers lasted all 10 days & were comfortable & dry & ready to go (serioulsy, worth the $25/pair) - they have a wide variety of styles.
All you have to do is just wash them in the sink, roll them in a hotel towel, stomp them dry, and hang up for a few hours & they'll be ready by morning. Read the REI reviews here - http://www.rei.com/product/694431
2) Dr Scholl's Double Air Pillo insoles - about $3/pair at CVS. I had leather shoes & wore them every day while I was traveling. Did a lot of walking & bought an extra pair to keep in my luggage just in case. They were amazing."

Jason and Chris are upstanding guys who seem to have done well with their real estate holdings, especially in rental apartments. But they seem to be mired in a bit of problem with some of their tenants who accuse them of "renoviction". Do these free-loaders think we live in a communist country? They should appreciate the fact that they got a great place to live, at very low rent for years, now it is time to pay market price or move on. Seesh!

Excellent Vancouver butcher shop on West 4th Avenue.
On a mildly related note, here's a very nice (since modified) heritage home at 4446 West 5th Avenue in the Point Grey area where the founders and original owners of Jacksons Meat, George and Dorothy Jackson, used to live.

Peter Burkill
Peter Burkill: "Peter was the Captain of the British Airways flight that lost power to both engines, 2 miles before the runway, and crashed into London Heathrow in January 2008.
Peter had only 35 seconds from becoming aware of the problem to impact and during this time his actions in 'moving the flaps' helped give the stricken aircraft enough lift to clear the airports perimeter fence by just over 7 feet, saving all 152 souls on board and many more on the ground."

No Dogs or Anglophones: Francophones Welcome On This Blog:
"What makes Montreal (where most of us live) so fascinating is hard to describe. Perhaps it is because Montreal has an edginess not found anywhere in Canada, where life can best be described as neat. That's not meant to be an insult, we're just different. Some people flock here because of that fact and some people flee."
"Of all of Canada's major cities, Montreal may be the most imperfect, but it's what makes it interesting to live here. If you don't get it, then you shouldn't stay."
