Shaw Cable and Protected Content at Adam’s Realm Blog
Shaw Cable and Protected Content at Adam’s Realm Blog: "I have the s-video out from the DCT-6200 into a filter which removes the Macrovision signal so that MCE will record at all. The S-video then goes into the WinTV USB2. In addition, I have a firewire cable running from the back of the DCT-6200 into my PC. The firewire connection serves dual purposes. The first is to change channels on the box. The second is to send the digital signal to the PC. This is accomplished using software called FireSTB provided by Tim Moore. I need the analog tuner (S-Video) to remain connected at the same time because currently MCE can only understand the analog signal from the box, not the digital. The software from Tim Moore does a beautiful job at recording the digital signal. The analog file that MCE records is just deleted by FireSTB when the digital recording is completed. Using this software I have been able to record from all channels on the DCT-6200 including the HD channels in 1080i and DD5.1."

More is Less » $10 - 15: "2003 Paiara Puglia Rosso - This was definitely the value find of the month! I had drunk many bottles of their rosé over the summer, so after my friend, Graham had tried this and said how good it was, I had to give it a go. I mean, how can you go wrong with $11?? This is a great wine for the money. It’s a blend of Negramaro and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. It’s got structure and a tonne of fruit backed up by smooth, but firm tannins. Just really good for $11! Get some.
One note on this wine: I picked up 2 bottles and noticed that the first I tried was kind of flabby - like the wine had been slightly cooked in storage or shipping. It was still OK, but the 2nd bottle showed what this was all about. It had the tannin and structure that made me really take notice. I’m just mentioning this in case you pick one up and run into what I did with the first bottle. Give it another go - c’mon, it’s only $11!
$10.99 CDN"
Unless I got the wine wrong, this one totally did not do it for us! We tried two bottles and they were what I imagine camel piss would taste like!
